The film follows the everyday lives of children and accompanies families on their individual paths through the variety of analogue and digital media. Through documentary observation, interviews and animated sequences, it offers practical suggestions for how children can grow up with media in a healthy way that serves their well-being.

The film is aimed primarily at parents. Further target groups include education professionals as well as trainees and students. Among other things, it answers questions such as: which media are appropriate at which age, and how much screen time makes sense? Where can media support development, and how can children be protected from the dangers media pose? What does it mean to teach children media literacy? How do I use digital media myself, and what example do I set by doing so?
