Services
From the first question to the finished film.
Concept, editorial development and production from one hand – for universities, institutes, foundations, associations and organisations that have a subject and are looking for the right form for it.
Service areas
01
Concept & editorial
Every project begins with a precise audience analysis and a clear definition of aims: which content, and which format, actually reaches the people it is meant to reach?
Content development follows – thorough research, getting to grips with the subject matter, and a concept built from scribbles, mockups, storyboards and moodboards, agreed with the specialists responsible for the topic.
02
Documentary & portrait
We produce documentaries, portraits, information and educational films, animations, social spots, conference films and trailers – from development through to the finished cut.
Treating interview partners and protagonists with sensitivity goes without saying: people should recognise themselves in our films.
03
Science communication & digital formats
We translate research into formats that preserve its rigour while still being understood: for universities, institutes, foundations and organisations.
This also includes interactive web formats such as non-linear documentaries, photo and video elicitation, story maps and exhibition media.
04
LIBRA Akademie – workshops & training
In storytelling workshops we pass on our experience as media professionals to researchers: formats, distribution channels and strategies for reaching their own audience effectively.
In media literacy workshops, children and young people learn the basics of film and online communication, so that they can engage with social issues through the media themselves.
How we work
Step 1
Analysis
Audiences, communication goals and touchpoints are defined together, before there is any talk of formats.
Step 2
Idea and concept
Research, getting to grips with the subject, and a concept that sets out the narrative and the visual language – agreed and verifiable.
Step 3
Production
Delivery with a well-rehearsed team: complex subjects, combined with a strong narrative and a vivid visual language.
Step 4
Distribution
Advice on where and how the finished media actually find their audience.
