One landscape, four places, a bus, art, many people and a festival. What is Heimat? Seeing, hearing, talking, celebrating, participating, shaping. Heimat is made, and it changes.
The Heimatfestival Oderbruch sets out to explore, together with interested people from Golzow, Letschin, Wuschewier and Neurüdnitz, what Heimat means in the Oderbruch. For the Oderbruchmuseum Altranft, the project's initiator, the aim was not only to foster neighbourliness in the Oderbruch and the pleasure of describing the landscape in one's own words, but also to start a conversation about the particularities of rural culture and about what it means to live well in the Oderbruch. The documentary accompanies the Heimatfestival Oderbruch both during its preparation and throughout the festival itself, and talks with the people behind it.
