Two teenagers talk during an interview in front of a dark blackboard

2020

Drainage pumping stations, local heritage rooms, churches, archaeological and architectural monuments - all of these are fascinating places that bring a landscape's cultural heritage to life. This documentary about the Ersatzkirche in Altwriezen was made as part of the "Jugend filmt!" project. Over the course of a project week, seventh-graders from the Salvador-Allende-Schule in Wriezen got to know this heritage site, gained wide-ranging insights into filmmaking, shot their own scenes and interviews, and in the end edited together a documentary well worth watching.

Interviewees: Axel Persiel (architect), Gudrun Wendt (member of the board of trustees of the Landschaftsfonds Oderbruch and member of the Förderverein Kirche Altwriezen-Beauregard), Peter Sperr (local representative for Altwriezen), Rosemarie Urban (chair of the Förderverein Kirche Altwriezen/Beauregard e.V.)
