Podcasts have been popular well before the coronavirus crisis, and a great many people have subscribed to several podcasts at once on their smartphones. But how can the methods and strategies of podcasting be taught in the classroom? In this workshop, trainee teachers and teachers learn the concrete steps from idea to finished product, as well as a range of didactic ways to use them. They also get an overview of common podcast formats and how to design them, along with a brief introduction to important legal aspects. Alongside a series of content inputs, there are short practical exercises, so that by the end of the course participants have the relevant foundational knowledge for creating and publishing their own podcasts, as well as ways to use them in the classroom.
