Teaser: Growing Up Mentally Healthy

How can children be strengthened so that they grow up mentally healthy? How can we support children's mental and psychological development and foster the unfolding of their personality and abilities?

Mental well-being is one of the cornerstones of healthy child development. Commissioned by the Deutsche Liga für das Kind and in coordination with further partners, including the Berufsverband der Kinder- und Jugendärzte (BVKJ), the Verband der Ersatzkassen (vdek), the Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung (BZgA) and the Nationales Zentrum Frühe Hilfen (NZFH), ten short information films were produced. As part of the U1-U9 paediatric check-ups, they inform parents about the needs children have at each age and how their mental development can be supported.

The films were produced to complement information leaflets on "Growing Up Mentally Healthy", distributed to parents nationwide as part of the U1-U9 check-ups from spring 2019 onwards.
