Film 1: King Code

The multiple award-winning multimedia school and youth project "King Code" is a collaboration between the Ernst-Reuter-Sekundarschule (Berlin-Wedding) and the Rosa-Luxemburg-Gymnasium (Berlin-Pankow). Since 2013, a group of young people has been actively engaged in the "King Code" project against racism and discrimination and for greater acceptance. Using a peer-to-peer approach, they aim to spark conversations and discussions, question attitudes and positions, exchange views on topics such as racism, discrimination and social justice, and understand the issues behind them. The film portrays the young people and the project.

Film 2: Filmclubs – Make Your Own Cinema

As part of the Filmclubs, young people in Saxony organise film screenings on human-rights topics. For questions such as "What impact does globalisation have on our everyday lives?" or "What does it mean for a person to leave their home and flee to another country?", the organisers select a film and invite experts to discuss it with fellow students and friends and gain a better understanding of the background. In this way, young people raise other young people's awareness of political issues, racism and prejudice, and encourage them to get involved themselves. The film presents the workings of "Filmclubs", a project run by the association Cine divers.
